This is getting out of control and it’s not a coincidence that this is happening. The people that will suffer the most are the working poor. The elite will not be suffering but the poor and the middle class are going to suffer.

What about when Brandon said outright there would be food shortages? Was that another unfiltered lapse in his cognitive decline? This is clearly more deliberate destruction of the freedoms enjoyed by Judeo-Christian Western civilization as foretold in scripture and satanic in nature.

It stands written before me “evil men grow worse and worse”.

My solace is this: “I know that my Redeemer lives, and in the end he will stand upon the earth”.

The FBI? Oh please, @ this stage of the game they are a sick joke. By choice/design(?) they have morphed into the “Dirty Tricks Division” of the DNC & are completely useless @ law enforcement. The entire edifice of the U.S. Govt is rotten to the core & to redirect what AH said of the state of the Soviet Union just before the commencement of Operation Barbarossa, “All we have to do is kick in the door & the whole rotten structure will come crashing down”; that very well may be the state of our Fed govt. Russia/China/economic collapse? Time will tell.

It is my humble belief we are in The End Times. Get right with God & The Gospel of Jesus Christ. Prepare. Band together. Build a network of people you trust.

And fight.

This is really scary stuff. If/when food shortage’s really become a major problem it’s going to make COVID look like child’s play. Looks like we all need to do some basic stocking up on things but how long would that get you thru until you ran out.

If the situation gets really bad, say to the point of food riots and you live in an apartment in the city then you’re as good as dead. If you live in suburbia your chances improve and if you live in the sticks they improve even more.

I suggest at least 90 days of food and water but the more you have the better you will be. Hopefully you are somewhere where you can grow some food. Hopefully you can build a system to collect, filter and purify water. Hopefully you own some guns and have a good amount of ammo. You don’t need to be Corn Pop but you also don’t want to be the soft target. The more things you have in your favor the higher your probability of survival will be.

Make sure you stock up on water as well as food. And realize that it can be requisitioned.

Except bottled water is not really all that good unless you live somewhere where the tapwater has been tainted like flint Michigan. I have a reverse osmosis system in my kitchen that I fill a thermos or Tumbler for drinking water. I also get a regular delivery of coconut water. . Unfortunately most bottled water comes in plastic bottles which is made from a petroleum-based plastic. Though the plastic bottles CAN be recycled and if more people would actually recycle them instead of just throw them away in the garbage..... I think I might buy a few bottles of spring water at my local vitamin cottage natural grocers store. The problem is I don’t have an extra refrigerator to store extra bottles of water and keep them cold. Spring water would require refrigeration. A package of say Dasani does not require refrigeration until you want it cold. Of course, I don’t buy Dasani anyway. I don’t buy Aquafina either. One is owned by Coke one is on by Pepsi.

Does your reverse osmosis system require electricity? If so, are you off grid? What happens if the power grid collapses, as Mr. Schwab has predicted?

Elizabeth V's avatar

Honestly I don’t know if it requires electricity and I’m not off the grid I live in the city and I have fiber optic cable &internet. I could not live off the grid.

Obviously you can do what you like. But if the grid goes down chaos will ensue. It’s not the worst idea to prepare for that kind of chaos.

Where I live distilled water is $1.00 a gallon. I use it for my tea kettle and have about 100 gallons and counting that I rotate through.

I think that worrying about things like recycling and refrigeration is a bit like polishing the brass on the Titanic. I’m not saying everyone needs to run off to the woods and live in a shack and live off the land, but to go completely unprepared for a collapse seems equally crazy.

Maybe I have been through too many hurricanes but I have seen the chaos first hand when the power goes out and food and water seem scarce. Look at the complete breakdown after Katrina. That’s nothing compared to what could happen.

I’m hoping to get to Walmart and buy a camping lantern that can run on batteries as well as a battery operated fan because if the power goes out(Whether it’s because of a thunderstorm or because of the power grid outage) electricity runs my ceiling fan and I’m pretty sure my air conditioning may or may not run, so I would need something to keep me cool in my bedroom especially when we come to the hot summer months. I don’t like to open the window. I don’t want bugs coming in my house And an open window basically says here thieves come right in! Though my bedroom window does have one of those crank windows with screen on the inside, so if I had to let in some air I suppose I could open that a little bit. I have a chest freezer in my garage for extra meat but that won’t do me any good if the power goes out so I’m trying to figure out what kind of generator I should get like Jackery brand. I would want something that could run my chest freezer but I’m concerned because I don’t really have any place where I could cook food outside. And I wouldn’t trust myself cooking outside, So a solar powered outside cookstove would not be practical for me. And a wood-burning stove is not practical especially since I saw several months ago that there was a fire that was caused by one. I’m trying to think ahead of time but I’m hoping I’ll still be able to use my regular stove to cook things even rice and beans are better when they’re cooked you can’t eat raw rice you might be able to get a can of cold beans but you can’t eat raw rice.

I think everywhere is tainted to a certain degree. Fluoride is really popular for example. I grew up on bore water at a farm so prefer the untainted version. Even if we use large plastic containers for that.

You still need running water for reverse osmosis and this can easily be shut down to town supply water.

You have a good point there I’m wondering if maybe I can get some glass carafes And fill those with reverse osmosis water and then find a way to get another fridge like a small mini fridge or something and fill the fridge with bottles of reverse osmosis water so I have water ahead of time. Hopefully it won’t come to that!
