CBS Reporter Gets Scalped At CPAC
Robert Costa Got Called Out As A Traitor & Bob Woodward Could Not Be Reached For Comment!
Bob Woodward’s new boy-toy Robert Costa showed up at CPAC to represent the corporate media with his passive-aggressive beta-male schtick and became, instead, the butt of a thousand conservative jokes.
If you have not heard of Robert Costa, that’s because you don’t currently reside in an assisted nursing facility with Dan Rather. Costa works for CBS News — an organization whose key viewer demographic is nearly in the graveyard, and whose continued existence depends on people who want to get their information from Gayle King. Do you know a lot of people who think Oprah Winfrey’s girlfriend is a trusted source of news?
In other words, CBS News is not really a news organization anymore — it’s more like a sleeping aid. Senior citizens turn it on for its soothing tones because it promotes better rest during the golden years. The network’s executives are so past their prime that they imagined Robert Costa would be like a breath of fresh air to the place. He was named their new “elections correspondent” recently — that’s the same guy who disgraced himself with his Russia Hoax reporting.
Costa’s real role is to smear conservatives, of course, in the run-up to the midterm elections. That’s why he showed up to CPAC of course. (Costa’s favorite phrase right now is to call everyone he doesn’t like a “white nationalist” which is strange behavior coming from Costa since he used to work at the National Review and is, essentially, denouncing his younger and fatter self too.) Costa was feeling overly confident at CPAC and tried his usual tactics on Mike Lindell — and it did not go well for Costa.
Notice that Costa’s entire act is to pretend to be a journalist while behaving like a Democrat activist. If you foolishly think Costa and his fellow corporate media stooges are journalists then you’re under an obligation to treat their questions seriously, and try to answer them. That’s the trap. If there’s one thing the GOP should have learned during the Trump Administration: that’s a trap you should avoid.
Mike Lindell knows that Robert Costa is not acting in good faith. So, he’s under no obligation to treat him as a journalist. (Indeed, nobody is under any obligation to treat Bob Woodward’s gopher seriously.) Once you treat fake journalists like the Democrat activists they truly are — they complain about being mistreated by the public. In other words: Costa’s entire act depends upon the camouflage.
Here’s a picture of Costa with the real love of his life: Washington’s pre-eminent windbag Bob Woodward. You have to give Costa some credit: he used to sit around The Washington Post and eat donuts all day with Philip Rucker and Josh Dawsey. Now look at him: pretending to be the son that Bob Woodward never had.
Love the coordinated masks on both of them too.
Be careful of ageism. I see a lot of that tendency from many younger writers with different political perspectives. I too once yelled at older drivers: “Get out of the way, Cutip!” and kidded tired friends of needing Ensure. Or Depends. Or of having a stroke if they misspoke. Children have made fun of the aging process forever. That being said, I think of Victor Davis Hanson, Thomas Sowell, Charles Murray and our President Trump, and try to find more worthwhile aspects to drag when mocking an opponent. There are usually pretty obvious effups I can chortle over besides gray hair. That being said, no one disagrees with this article unless they are a thumb-sucking Millenial who writes on Medium with crayons while whining about equity and his/her/its annoying, rayyyyysist grandparents.
Your description of a CBS News viewer is pure gold.
