Nothing shows you the sudden descent of American liberalism into communism in the last few years quite like the enthusiastic embrace of the “Dark Brandon” theme by the Left. Liberals are actually celebrating the “Dark Brando” memes because they turn an obviously senile Joe Biden into an evil dictator and that’s — you know — a good thing.
Liberals want to celebrate the fact that Joe Biden will actually arrest his political opponents and send them to prison like a third-world tyrant!
The totalitarian impulses that have captured American liberalism are not something to eradicate anymore — they’re something to enjoy.
This sort of thing is clever and funny to the same people who managed to “defund the police” in blue cities, and who are now trying to wash their hands of the ensuing chaos and bloodshed they’ve caused for the last two years — in other words, sociopaths.
In fact, it’s rather disturbing what American liberals find consoling in terms of imagery. The truth of the matter is that such memes are a form of confession.
There’s even a subset of “Dark Brandon” memes that admit that Joe Biden is a senile puppet of Barack Obama and his aides — they’re called Joebama memes. These memes make explicit that Biden is simply the placeholder for the competent Obama who’s always the competent adult in the background.
Again, Democrats are just having a laugh which also happens to be an admission of truth.
Meanwhile, the reality of “Dark Brandon” himself is that he can’t manage to put on his own suit jacket in real life.
