Europe started fighting the Muslims in 1096 and kept fighting them until 1918. They were ultimately driven out of France, Iberia, Hungary, the Balkans and Greeece. They continue to occupy Byzantium and almost all of the Middle East and North Africa--all of which were Christian before the Muslim conquests of 700-800. Today they invade Europe as "refugees" from the disaster countries they created.
This was just one of many times armies were raised to challenge the encroachment of Islamic ideology. If left unanswered the whole of Europe would be speaking Arabic, and bowing to the east. It did take strong leaders to lead by example. Sadly the governing entities are now complicit in allowing the culture and ideals of Western civilization to be in peril.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. When men will fear God more than they fear what man can do. They will lay hold of wisdom. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God... The salvation that Christ gives us is salvation from God's Wrath.
The absolute TRUTH was spoken by St. Bernard. We now live in similar forbidding times. It is not necessarily our chosen time but we have been destined by God to face the challenges. He is in charge, not man. Let us deal with the problems as God would want us to — with resolute strength, determination and courage.
The Olympic opening ceremony represents an accurate status report on the spiritual health of Europe. Couple that abomination with an influx of Islamic migrants who take their faith seriously, and the handwriting, as they say, is on the wall, as nature abhors a vacuum. A political solution to such a state of affairs is an utter illusion. St. Bernard's appeal for action near and far, repelling the incredible inroads of a ravaging enemy, did not have elites bringing Islam close and conspiring to undo the culture of his listeners. The Red-Green alliance of our time has seen the enemy at the gates and within them. The call to arms in our time is on both fronts now and the creeping internal conquest has been insidious. Franklin's if-you-can-keep-it hope for our new republic did not foresee the willingness of a less moral cohort among us to turn by misinformation and moral preening against their countrymen to disable the will to oust them and fight our foreign enemies. Without true ballot-based elections and the assertion of morality in the populace, we will sooner succumb to the Reds than the Greens.
