I agree 100%: William Barr is a TRAITOR (of the worst kind). I have a question, then: why did President Trump appoint William Barr as Attorney General?

2) Why did Trump hire Christopher Wray as FBI Director?

3) Why did Trump appoint Gina Haspel as CIA Director?

I still don't have the answers to these questions. (and the list can go on and on).

By the way, Emerald: since I know you have direct contact with President Trump, why don't you ask him?

Paul Rae's avatar

Trump foolishly trusted entrenched "Republicans" when he got to DC. Apparently he must have felt boxed in time-wise and had to get people appointed. Very legitimate questions, though. I've asked myself the same ones...and why didn't he fire those same people when they were obviously backstabbing him?

Trump kind of had an impossible job. His own party hated him, and he needed them to run the government. Trump had 0 experience at this job and needed some insiders. So he either picked who he thought he could trust (or was told he could trust) or he was threatened and forced to put certain people into certain positions.

When the POTUS gets a little too big for the position you can easily get JFK’d. Trump needed the swamp creatures because he was on defense when he took the job from the Russia hoax. Without the RINO swamp creatures Trump would have been out on his ass before Melania had time to change the drapes.

This is why someone like Ross Perot would have gotten less than zero done had he actually won. When both sides hate you, you have no chance. That was Trump. Maybe next time will be better, I’m not holding me breath.

This does not mean that Trump never made (or does not continue to make) some bad decisions. See Dr. Oz endorsement for the most recent example.

Ironically the man who popularized the phrase “you’re fired” was not good at it in reality

Greg Rubini's avatar

well put, Madjack. Trump promised to "Drain the Swamp", in 2016. The sad truth is that "Trump filled the Swamp" - and in Nov 2020 "The Swamp drowned Trump".

iCrusader's avatar

Trump thought he became CEO of America. He forgot the rat infested swamp is not loyal to the CEO/President of America. he was too vocal about his plans in many ways...gave the swamp rats a lot of planning time.

Good point. Military Strategy works the opposite way: surprise and decisive action is the key to win the Wars.

Bruce_in_AZ's avatar

You must remember how the media characterized every staff change in the whitehouse under Trump. Constant accusations of "chaos" and "disarray". I'm sure this had a lot to do with the lack of firings.

Madjack's avatar

Good point. I remember.

Greg Rubini's avatar

I remember, and I agree. Trump should not have hired those DeepStaters and Traitors in the first place, though!

Architeckt's avatar

I completely agree. Add Mark Milley as #4.

Greg Rubini's avatar

Absolutely!! Gen. Mark Milley is one of the worst. Let's add to the List:

- Gen. Mattis (TRAITOR),

- DNI Dan Coats (which I exposed as "The Traitor in the White House" back in May 2019)

- Gen. H.R. McMaster - who Trump appointed as Nat. Sec. Advisor right after Gen. Flynn was fired - in Feb. 2017. McMaster even PROMOTED Eric Ciaramella in the Nat. Sec. Council. - in May 2017. // Ciaramella = the Adam Schiff "whistleblower" of the Trump Impeachment hoax.

- Mike Pompeo - who Trump appointed as CIA Director, in Jan 2017: many will disagree, I know, but it was Pompeo who appointed Gina Haspel as CIA Deputy Director, in 2017. Besides: did Pompeo clean up the CIA from Deep State bad actors?

The answer is: "No".

Pompeo did absolutely NOTHING to clean up the CIA. This should tell you something about the real allegiance of Mike Pompeo.

Architeckt's avatar

Agreed. The Gina Haspel appointment cannot be ignored.

Why did Trump pick Pence for VP? Why didn't he do something about Fauci. Trump knew hydroxychloroquine cured covid and the AMA forbade physicians to write scripts and pharmacies to fill it.

Greg Rubini's avatar

yes, I was going to add hiring Fauci to the List of bad decisions. And Pence as VP.

Architeckt's avatar

Fauci has been in there since Moses was alive... but should have been canned pre-plandemic at least.

Architeckt's avatar

Great points. Maybe it was all just way too much swamp for one person.

Jeanne's avatar

Just thinking out loud here Greg. Had Trump not put these people in place would we know now what we’ve not known for the last several decades they’ve been in other positions? Everyone of them have been exposed. Even the normies know the truth of the deep systemic corruption in government now. Everyone knows these specific people are corrupt to the core. I don’t think most would’ve had a clue had Trump not put them up front for all to see.

Architeckt's avatar

You make a good point. President Trump was definitely a wake-up call.

Madjack's avatar

Did he have latitude?

Greg Rubini's avatar

what do you mean, Madjack?

Madjack's avatar

Even the President has pressures placed on him from various people and power centers. This is not meant as an excuse. It’s clear that any conservative President would be better off with lots of empty offices and chairs then the evil snakes that fill them

Greg Rubini's avatar

Good point, Madjack. But either one is truly the "President of the United States", or he isn't. The President of the United States had THE DUTY to exercise his Executive Power. Trump, in many cases, didn't. And the nightmare we are facing now in this country is a consequence of that. Trump KNEW beforehand that the 2020 Elections would have been rigged. But he did nothing to avoid it. (writing tweets is not enough when one has Executive Power).

Madjack's avatar

Agreed. He was surrounded by traitors and miscreants. But your point is valid

Great, Great article Emerald! This is the Deep State incarnate. Unelected cabinet level bureaucrates given airtime by a complicit media. Appreciate your laying out what critical thinking looks like in interpreting what the American public is being fed. How many can perceive « The Matrix » we live in?

Wow the US really is a banana republic with a suit on

B Marty's avatar

Anyone with half a brain has figured out in the last few years that the Bush Crime Family is as bad if not worse than the Clintons, Bidens, Cheneys, Obamas etc... (I voted for them, I was fooled then too).

Barr was appointed by George H W Bush, a Rockefeller Republican dedicated to New World Order and all that represents. Its no wonder why He did what he did in office and is now slithering around trying to reform the old GOP Order.

I'm sure when the time comes he will endorse Mike Pence or Nikki Haley or some other useless RINO who has the GOPe stamp of approval and they are hoping to go back to their phony differences with the Democrats in public, while in private they divide up the spoils between them.

The J6 committee has ONE goal, keep Trump off of the 2024 ballot. I'm sure Barr will not be silent about their recommendations when the time comes.

I don't know how it will all play out but that is the plan.

This time around I think the GOPe, The Lincoln Project and the Old Establishment Rinos are in for a rude awakening.

God Willing.

Madjack's avatar

He’s not a “frightened” man, he’s a evil man. For many of Trumps positions normal Americans would have been far superior. DC is a rats nest, we need exterminators

Steven D Heck's avatar

There is nothing that will done about it. The entire MSM establishment would have to be taken down for President Trump to ever get a fair shake (assuming he runs and wins again in 2024). America is super corrupt and controlled by Marxist Globalists that control all the Levers. It's a hopeless situation. A violent revolution would have to take place and that isn't happening. America will continue to degrade and eventually become a 3rd World Hell Hole (Urban areas are already there).

If a man like this can be the attorney general of a republican administration then I’m not sure what can be done about the deep state. Great information and time line of all the deeds this man did during his time in his office. Is it really that hard to find people to appoint to powerful positions in politics that this is the best we can do. Great read Emerald

Paul Rae's avatar

Great article, Emerald. Stories like this make it clear why Newsmax et al are trying to keep you quiet. I'm sharing this as far as I can. Watch your back, though.

Wow!!!!! You, my dear lady are absolutely ON FIRE!!!!! Thank God for you and your willingness to tell the TRUTH!!!!! Subscribing to your column has been the best thing I’ve ever spent money on!! Seriously thank you from the bottom of my heart!!! God Bless you and your family!!

And doesn't Barr's father have some shady history with Epstein?

AisforApril's avatar

So much for electing experienced and qualified candidates to Congress. Let's vote truck drivers and factory workers to these positions; they will provide the 'new eyes' we need.

Great article! I hope everyone in the United States, who doubts there was election fraud in 2020, reads this article. I know my family and friends will.

Thank you, Emerald, for saying what needs to be said.
